Job Responsibilities:

  • Financial Database Subject Matter Expert/Analyst - Develop an in-depth understanding of various functional systems within the Accounting department and the broader Company to assemble, verify, and provide accounting related data in a meaningful manner. Analyze how processes and the software application(s) work to develop new and edit existing reports by investigating the user’s needs, researching to identify input data, creating formats of reports and providing training on how to execute new reporting capabilities. Compile data from multiple global ERPs for use in US and global consolidation. Consolidate multiple attributes from transaction level data within multiple systems to improve research and reporting capabilities. Support process improvement initiatives from a data maintenance perspective to improve internal processes and/or management reporting.

  • Technical Knowledge Support - Monitor internal developments regarding technological changes in the Company’s Information Technology (IT) environment to ensure practices are implemented across the organization. Understand, evaluate, and support the implementation of financial Accounting systems in coordination with the Company’s Information Technology (IT) team. Provide application support to Accounting and other departments. Provide input for programming changes requested from Accounting and other departments and work with IT on changes.

  • Miscellaneous - Assist in special financial and business-related studies and cooperate with other departments in the preparation of analyses. Available to assist management with special projects. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years' related experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, Accounting, Computer Science, IT)

  • Able to work onsite, 5 days a week, in New Bremen, Ohio

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two plus years’ experience connecting multiple complex data sources and identifying relevant underlying data relationships that drive business value. Experience with advanced visualization tools such as SSRS, Tableau or Power BI

  • Good written, verbal, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Keen understanding of business objectives and ability to apply this understanding to recommend and implement reporting solutions.

  • Good problem-solving skills along with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated analytical and statistical skills, including a detailed working knowledge of business intelligence systems and database tools.

  • Participate in a variety of accounting related activities to move projects forward and to objectively analyze accounting processes and systems as well as financial statement risks.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
