Develop detailed design drawings, 3D solid models, and specifications for equipment based on customer requirements.

Layout and produce schematic, orthographic, or isometric views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and equipment.

Coordinate with and consult sales, manufacturing, and assembly to design, layout, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.

Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.

Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.

Utilize mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery using computer-assisted equipment.

Position instructions and comments onto drawings.

Layout, produce and reproduce illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications to describe operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.

Perform engineering analysis and establish test plans to demonstrate product designs meet performance and safety requirements.

Document and report findings of tests and analysis performed.

Manage development tasks for assigned projects including project schedule, BOMs and product costs targets for new products.

Support and assist materials department by identifying new vendors and working with vendors to fabricate production parts and tooling.

Manage, implement and track changes to designs as it evolves to meet the customers requirements.

Document and record projects in files that include part files, assembly files, drawing files and layout drawings.

Support and assist sales in the analysis and determination of viability of design concepts.

Support and assist customer technical support in finding solutions for customer technical issues.

Assists with providing technical support to other employees.

Develop, document, and maintain standard engineering practices and procedures.
