Duties:

  • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, such as engine problems, electrical malfunctions, and suspension or steering issues.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to assemble, disassemble, and repair vehicle components.
  • Weld and fabricate metal parts as needed.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure vehicles are in proper working condition.
  • Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Communicate with customers to explain repairs and provide recommendations for additional services.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of automotive systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance.
  • Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or bending.

Note: Experience working on GM vehicles is preferred but not required.
