This is a position with grade 14This position reports to Service Team LeaderYour role and responsibilities Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair of ABB Medium Voltage (MV) Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) Investigate problems and independently initiate effective measures for their solution Coordinate activities with related groups to most efficiently achieve objectives to ensure customer satisfaction Participate proactively in contributing feedback regarding product quality issues to reduce warranty costs Carry out preparatory work regarding spare parts, testing of tools and equipment and documentation as required Submit completed, detailed and comprehensive service reports in a timely manner and follows up when needed Coaches and provides technical guidance to fellow colleagues, departments and customers Communicate effectively and present information to top management, customers, vendors and other employees of the organizationQualifications for the role Associate degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical program and minimum 8 years of experience in installing, testing, repairing or troubleshooting AC/DC drive systems and their associated controls Bachelor\'s degree in electrical engineering, experience with MV Drives, knowledge of power electronics, motors, transformers, switch gears and computer network communication protocol and theory of operation preferred Ability to interpret circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, technical manuals and technical specifications Ability to travel up to 80 percent of the time Maintain a valid driver\'s license Willing to provide technical support during evenings and...
