IEWC Materials Analyst in NEW BERLIN, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description The Materials Analyst is responsible for optimizing product availability and lowest landed cost in a multi-location global distribution environment. This position will define materials strategies and plan target materials levels that will enable the company to meet/exceed customer service levels and working capital objectives. The Materials Analyst is responsible for the decision of when and how much material is purchased. Collaboration with other members of the Supply Chain, Sourcing, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support Teams is critical to achieve the objectives. Planning Establish and maintain finished goods materials planning parameters (safety stock, reorder point quantities, lot sizes, forecast, lead-times, etc.) such that the finished goods availability levels and working capital objectives are in line with the monthly S&OP expectations. Effectively communicate planning strategies with cross functional partners. Analyze and maintain MRP rules through SAP to have the right product at the right location at the right time. Manage slow moving, excess and obsolete materials. This includes limiting the purchasing of it as well as disposition of existing excess and obsolete materials. Incorporate any product phase out plans and/or new product introductions within the materials planning parameters to minimize excess and obsolete materials. Order Management Plan and execute purchase order creation and confirmation of materials. Review and resolve SAP exception messages on a daily basis. Responsible for working with Quality, Sales, Finance and Warehouse to resolve receiving issues, rejections of material, quality issues or vendor return problems. Set up initial planning parameters for newly created material masters and extend materials masters to other plants as needed. Manager sku portfolio globally by maintaining appropriate master data, inventory strategy and order fulfillment across all locations. KPI Management & Reporting Meet Key deliverables including but not limited to At Risk items, Stock outs, Past Due PO\'s, DIO (Days Inventory On Hand) and Inventory Value through daily/weekly management. Analyze key performance indicators and show progress in metrics through root cause analysis. Use daily reports to find opportunities to be proactive and drive results. Prepare and issue specific daily, weekly and monthly performance reports and distribute to key stakeholders. Create and distribute ad hoc reports as requested by functional departments or Internal Management. Team Support and Development Actively participate in process improvement projects. Recommend or create at least 1 process improvement that lead to either cost reduction, supply chain improvement or inventory reduction. Learn how to run team reports for department KPI\'s.
