Ahead LLC Wilcom Embroidery Digitizer in New Bedford, Massachusetts

Ahead, LLC is looking for an experienced Digitizer to work from our office located in New Bedford, Ma.    This is not a remote or hybrid position.

The Digitizer Editor uses embroidery software (Wilcom, Compucon, Pulse, Sierra, and Data Stitch) to fulfill technical requirements of orders by creating embroidery files for commercial embroidery machines in a production environment.  Accurate, timely completion of the duties of the Digitizing Editor is an essential component in ensuring that companywide goals of quality and on-time delivery are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use embroidery specific software, to create embroidery files and merge logos to prepare orders for production such as Wilcom, Compucon, Pulse, Sierra, and Data Stitch

  • Inspect quality of files from our accounts to ensure best embroidery quality.

  • Sample files on product to ensure quality of logos to prevent production floor edits.

  • Work with production floor to edit all quality issues to prevent returns and future edits.

  • Focus on reaching daily production goals by completing at least 3-4 jobs per hour.

  • Work on orders in a timely manner to ensure they are going into production before the scheduled ship date on the order.

  • Ensure all order notes and details are followed to prevent returned products.

  • Participate in cross training within the team to maximize production and quality goals.

  • Provide feedback to management.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

     Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma required.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

    Skills/Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of relevant computer software and systems.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent electronic communication and functional ability.

  • Ability to multi-task under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

  • Good problem solving skills.
