NORPEL, also known as the Northern Pelagic Group, LLC, is a prominent producer of pet food ingredients. We originated as a small fish processor in New Bedford Harbor back in 2002, but now operate plants in New Bedford, MA, and Hazle Township, PA, where we process seafood and meat products. Our clients consist of most major pet food companies, and we invite you to join us in our efforts to champion sustainability, advance research, and discover innovative solutions to eliminate food waste. Responsibilities: Unloading, locating, and storing unprinted and printed paperboard, corrugated boxes and film using an on-board computer. Inspecting all materials, recording, and reporting damaged materials Supplying the production area with requested materials. Removing goods from product take-off area and moving to a warehouse or loading on trucks Maintaining safe mobile equipment operations, including inspection and movement of mobile equipment. Performing general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment. Maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment Performing tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and carry up to 50 pounds. Strong problem-solving skills. Capability to stand for the full duration of work shifts. High school diploma or GED (or equivalent). Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of one (3) years of experience operating mobile equipment. Experience reading production schedules to locate proper materials. Forklift certification. Computer skills.
