Alene Candles 2nd Shift Forklift Operator in New Albany, Ohio

Alene Candles LLC & Midwest is a private label, contract manufacturer that produces high-quality candles for some of the world’s most recognized retail, boutique, and cosmetic brands. We are seeking a Material Handler for 2nd Shift. You will organize and transport production and support material and equipment within the area of assignment. You may be required to use manual and powered material handling equipment and packaging equipment. This role has considerable physical demand consisting of frequent lifting or moving average weight material or occasionally lifting or moving heavy weight material in difficult positions.

Shift: 1pm-9pm Monday-Friday

Pay: $21.00/hour

Job Functions:

  • Locate, pick, move and store material and equipment according to established procedures, both written and verbal.

  • Unload and store material in proper locations and perform receiving transactions.

  • Use material handling equipment such as hand and powered pallet movers, fork trucks and some powered packing equipment such as banders and shrink wrappers

  • Maintain proper documentation and records using various paper forms and computer systems.

  • Operate company box truck between company buildings.

  • Follow and comply with all safety rules and regulations. Maintain individual work area/equipment in a neat, orderly manner. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment/ tooling, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervisor. Count items and audit for package/ shipping damage.

  • Maintain necessary records as required. Moves material as necessary in performance of duties. Cycle count as scheduled

  • Obtain and maintain proper training for powered industrial trucks. Maintain daily logs.

  • Perform other duties as directed

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)

  • 1-4 years related experience and valid driver's license

  • Experience using scan gun, inventory control experience, and experience loading and unloading 53' box truck

  • Must have good comprehension of English language both orally and written

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of BIN transfers

  • Ability to problem solve quickly and in the moment
