SUMMARY

Provides in-process test requirements to assure production quality is met per quality standards. Reacts accordingly to non conformances by utilizing past history and quality standards by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs first/middle/last quality checks on all mass production products.

Performs daily functional checks on all required products.

Initiates internal nonconformance reports for all defects found internally.

Maintains documents and records according to departmental and TS 16949 requirements.

Performs daily audits of finished and in-process goods to verify part quality.

Assists in training quality technicians on correct and consistent measurement techniques.

Be able to distinguish minor color differences

Some travel required to confirm/investigate shipments to the customer.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and one to three months related experience and/or training preferred. Basic computer skills; familiar with Microsoft Office.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

CQI recommended.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

People skills a must.

Must be a self-starter and be able to meet deadlines.

Must pass a color test.
