Job Summary

Van Wall Equipment is looking for a Forklift Technician to perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on customer or dealer-owned forklifts, as well as any other material handling equipment. The candidate should have the expertise to use the appropriate tools to successfully diagnose and repair a variety of makes and models of forklifts. Additional job responsibilities below:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

-Make repair recommendations and quotes for customers

-Accurately create parts lists required for repairs

-Work with the service and parts departments to ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner

-Perform necessary repairs as requested by the customers

-Effective internal and external communication to ensure work has met customers’ expectations

-Keep clear and up to date documentation of each job completed

-Represent the dealership as a professional technician at all times

Position Qualifications

-2+ years of experience performing service repairs within the automotive or material handling industry

-Knowledge of IC and electric forklifts, hydraulic systems, electrical, fuel systems, and charging systems a plus

-Must have own set of tools

-Excellent communication and documentation skills required

-Valid driver’s license and good driving record required

-Ability to lift 75 lbs
