Belcan Inc. is looking for a Junior FPGA Developer to help write testcases and contribute to design and implementation.

As a Junior FPGA Developer, you will be:

*Writing and maintaining testcases as part of the DevOps automation framework

*Collaborating with various groups to contribute to the automation framework environment

*Maintaining the development lab and equipment

*Working with members of several groups and team members to verify the functionality of products

*Generating and maintaining documentation and test plans to track and ensure product quality

*Supporting PV/QA throughout development - validating feedback, and debugging/fixing hardware problems as required

*Participating in Agile Scrum ceremonies like stand-ups, retrospectives, refinement, and sprint kick-offs

*Contributing to FPGA design/implementation tasks in various areas

Education and Experience:

*Minimum 2-4 years FPGA development experience

*B.S. in Engineering required

Skills and Knowledge:

*In-depth knowledge of several scripting languages (Tcl, Perl, Bash) and in particular Python (required)

*Knowledge of Git revision control systems, branching and tagging methodologies

*Good knowledge of hardware debugging and design

*Good understanding of continuous integration/delivery practices and other DevOps concepts

*Familiarity with the following technologies:

  • Jenkins and Gitlab CI/CD pipelines

  • SoC FPGA interconnects such as Avalon or AXI interfaces

  • PCI Express, Ethernet 1/10/25/100GE, 12G-SDI, HDMI, DisplayPort

  • High-speed transceivers

  • Timing recovery / Synchronization

  • Vivado and Quartus development tools

*Knowledge of software languages such as C, C++ a plus

*Understanding of digital video, audio and associated audio standards a plus

*Knowledgeable in Video/Audio technologies preferred
