Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and talented individual for the position of Network and Computer Systems Administrator - Journeyman.

Job Description:

Summary: The Network and Computer Systems Administrator – Journeyman will provide day-to-day support to Department of Defense (DoD) agencies including Special Access Programs (SAPs), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Collateral activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information.

  • May ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure.

  • May respond to computer security breaches and viruses. Review, prepare, track, and update Authority to Operate (ATO) packages

  • Review and provide technical and cyber security coordination on all Bodies of Evidence that make-up an ATO package

  • Knowledge of, and/or experience implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and associated activities

  • Knowledge of NIST cybersecurity standards, publications, guidelines, and best practices and how to access NIST resources

  • Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for computer system(s) assigned

  • Conduct cybersecurity portion of the self-inspection’s checklist

  • Identify any and all vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures

  • Notify customer when changes occur that might affect authorization accreditation

  • Ensure information systems and network appliances are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices

  • Maintain file server, firewall, network access, security monitoring system, and other system documentation as required

  • Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance

  • Prepare system for operational use and support operational tests

  • Provide External Information System(s) Client Support

  • Perform COMSEC account/equipment management activities as needed

Requirement:

  • Must have DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification or better (i.e. Security+ or better)

  • 5-9 years relevant/direct experience with information system security/information assurance/cybersecurity processes

  • Must have a strong understanding of AF systems and PC requirements (i.e., a working knowledge of the directives and governing policies governing information systems)

Security Requirements:

  • Must have TS/SCI with DCID 6/4 eligibility within 5.5 years at the time of application

  • Must be willing to submit to a CI polygraph

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-9 years relevant work experience.

  • Specific/direct experience implementing JSIG and RMF policies/practices is highly desired.

  • Working knowledge of vulnerability scanning software (ACAS, SCAP, etc.)

Physical Requirements: This position requires employees to be willing and able to: sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat, stand, and walk.

Communication: Excellent customer service via phone and face to face conversation, excellent written and oral command of English.
