Global Resource Solutions System Administrator in Nellis AFB, Nevada

Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and talented individual for the position of System Administrator.

Job Description:

Summary: The System Administrator will provide the Air Force support services in the areas of network, security, and test & evaluation.

Shift:

Position may be assigned to Shift 1 or Shift 2. Notional shift hours, inclusive of at least one 1/2 hour break, are generally 0600-1430, Mon -Fri for Shift 1 and 1300-2330, Mon-Thu for Shift 2.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•Serve as the expert for determining hardware, software and systems specification and execution of the patching, fixing, and making all systems compliant under his/her direct control.

•Plan, install, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Hyper V, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2 and client products across multiple networks as well as strong networking background to include addressing and port and protocol knowledge.

•Provide support to users in the areas of account management, enterprise applications, desktop applications, and peripherals.

•Provide support to users, in the area of, account management, system troubleshooting, backups, and proactive system management.

•Identify and implement automation opportunities to eliminate repetitive tasks

•Support the Information Assurance (IA) process and related tasks

•Ensure compliance with all IA-related requirements.

Requirement:

•Associates Degree in a computer or system science discipline from an accredited college or university.

•Four (4) to seven (7) years of directly related experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training and certifications

Security Requirements:

•Top Secret/SCI

•Willing to submit for a CI Polygraph

Skills:

•A valid/current DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II certification.

•Microsoft Server 2012/2012 R2 Experience

•Design, deploy, and maintain Windows 2012/2012R2 systems, AD, DHCP, DNS, NTP, CA, Active Directory, GPO, and other core infrastructure components in an enterprise environment

•Strong knowledge of supporting MS tools (WSUS, SCDPM, SCOM).

•Microsoft Server Virtualization

•Experience Deploying and Maintaining Hyper-V servers and guests

•Experience Deploying and Maintaining Microsoft Failover Clustering

•Experience Deploying and using System Center Virtualization Manager to manage multiple Hyper-V host clusters

•Experience working with SVMs (Storage Virtual Machines), LIFS (Logical Interfaces), RAID DP, Aggregates, and Volumes

•Configure and implement CIFS/SMB3 and NFS protocols Scripting and/or programming (Power Shell, VB Script or other)

•Identify and implement automation opportunities to eliminate repetitive tasks

Physical Requirements: This position requires employees to be willing and able to: sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat, stand, and walk.

Communication: Excellent customer service via phone and face to face conversation, excellent written and oral command of English.
