The Charles River Center provides innovative opportunities, services, and supports for over 950 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury and mental health challenges, in the Metrowest and Southeast regions of Massachusetts. The Charles River Center (CRC) seeks caring and compassionate Life Skills Coach/ Direct Care Professional committed to providing outstanding care and quality service within our Needham day program. Responsibilities would include interacting and communicating with the individuals served, staff, families, and colleagues professionally. CRC staff members are also responsible for conducting and transporting individuals to scheduled recreation activities in the community. Provide individual and small group instruction in self-care, activities of daily living, communication, social, and motor skills. ? Attend in-service trainings as required. ? Comply with all applicable State and Federal regulations, agency policies and procedures, and personnel practices. ? Protect the health and safety of all consumers and staff. ? Performs other duties as requested by the supervisor(s). Qualifications: ? High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor\'s Degree preferred. Must have direct support experience with people with ID/DD. ? Successful completion and maintenance of the following: CPR and First Aid Certification; Human Rights; Universal Precautions; Mandated Reporting; DPPC; Fire Safety and Vehicle Safety Health and employees on the 1st day of employment. ? Working knowledge of behavior modification techniques. ? Considering candidates only who possess unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. ?
