Warner Bros. Games Boston is a Warner Bros. Games development studio focused on creating free-to-play games for mobile platforms. The studio is utilizing its extensive expertise in creating persistent online worlds that foster powerful social gaming communities to develop its hit mobile game, Game of Thrones: Conquest.

WB Games Boston is seeking a Artist, Technical to help develop our upcoming mobile title. The responsibilities will include optimizing performance for mobile devices, tool development, shader and graphics development, streamlining workflows, building pipelines, and bridging the space between technology and art. In this role, you will collaborate across art and programming disciplines.

Role Responsibilities...

  • Assist in the development of 3D assets to achieve the desired art style (shaders, lighting, vfx, rendering, etc).

  • Help drive, maintain, and support art production pipelines and best practices for Unity development across mobile devices.

  • Collaborate with artists, engineers, designers, and producers to make decisions that achieve the project vision through an optimized visual experience.

  • Provide solutions to complex shader and graphical challenges on mobile devices, utilizing all platform advantages to deliver a high quality experience on an array of hardware types.

  • Write and optimize shaders within Unity for URP.

  • Within Unity create content that is data driven, integrate and optimize assets.

  • Write and maintain scripts, test and improve runtime performance.

  • W rite and maintain art tools within Maya and Unity.

  • Create and maintain character and creature rigs that are optimized for mobile.

  • Troubleshoot/debug technical issues.

Qualifications & Experience...

  • 3+ years of game experience - Mobile game expertise preferred.

  • A portfolio to demonstrate your technical skills in Unity or similar platforms, as well as art applications (Maya, Adobe suite, or similar)

  • Proficiency in various scripting languages (C#, Python, MEL, PyMel)

  • The ability to create and problem-solve the complex structural art foundations of a project with asset optimization in mind.

  • Expertise in 3D graphics and 3D production pipelines.

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

  • Understanding of the graphic capacities of the current and upcoming mobile market.

  • Knowledge of graphics rendering and shaders (HLSL).
