Position Summary/Description:

The UNC Department of Psychiatry is seeking a full-time (clinical fixed term) faculty member who will be involved with clinical activities of the Substance Treatment and Recovery ( STAR ) program. Clinical responsibilities will include providing diagnostic evaluations, individual therapy, and group therapy in the outpatient and inpatient setting to patients of all ages (adolescents and adults) and contributing to overall program development across levels of care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary treatment team. Other clinical opportunities include supervising clinical practicum students, pre-doctoral interns, post-doctoral fellows, and psychiatry residents. Additional responsibilities include teaching medical students, residents, and other allied health professionals, conducting professional training seminars, conducting program evaluation, participating in outreach activities, providing community presentations, and presenting at national and international conferences. Salary will be commensurate with rank and experience.
