Title and Summary

Data Engineer II

Role Overview: As a Data Engineer on the Business Intelligence Team, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and optimize business performance. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will design, develop, and maintain robust analytical solutions that empower stakeholders to make informed decisions and enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our analytics platform.

Design and implement data models, data visualizations, and dashboards to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.

Continuously monitor and optimize the performance and scalability of analytics solutions to meet evolving business needs.

Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

3+ years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics roles within the financial services industry.

Proficiency in SQL and experience with analytical databases (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift). Strong understanding of Snowflake specific concepts preferred.

Experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Alteryx, Matillion or similar.

Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java.

Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.

Proficiency in solution identification, comparison, and execution, ensuring optimal outcomes for complex challenges.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
