StampTech Fasteners TM Division Description:

The ITW StampTech Fastener Division serves the major OEMs and Tier suppliers in the North American automotive market.  The division supplies stamped metal fasteners and engineered fastener assemblies that leverage our deep-draw stamping technologies. The annual revenue for the division is approximately $160M. Locations include Gallatin, TN, Lexington, KY & Naugatuck, CT.

The Division drives profitability by leveraging its innovative solutions and application engineering.  In addition to ITW’s industry leading research and development capabilities, StampTech Fasteners TM enhances our customers’ competitive advantage by maintaining advanced engineering and manufacturing facilities in North America, exchanging product, process, and benchmarking information with sister units worldwide and continually improving processes, material, and designs to ensure every product provides value and meets customer expectations.

Tends eyelet-forming machines to make product that meets customer specifications and quality requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.

  • Uses gages, micrometer, and other devices to measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation and product quality.

  • Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.

  • Completes all required part processing documentation in a timely manner.

  • Removes scrap and records weights as required.

  • Follows all safety and housekeeping rules.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English. Ability to complete routine production and quality reports.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and l00's. Ability to perform these operations, using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Forklift driving certification.
