Essential Functions

  1. Continual active patrol of assigned area; ensures all company property is patrolled to provide for overall asset protection and optimum guest and team member assistance and safety.
  2. Writes detailed reports regarding incidents of theft, injury, property damage or other matters affecting Saratoga Black Hawk guests.
  3. Completes pit fills/credits.
  4. Completes table drop.
  5. Assists in slot drops, coin and currency.
  6. Stands guard over the premises to prevent theft, violence or infractions of the rules, to direct guests or team members and to answer questions.
  7. Patrols assigned areas to watch for suspicious persons and activities
  8. Reports irregular activities or apprehends or expels violators according to policy.
  9. Assists in enforcing all city, county and state and federal laws and/or ordinances where applicable.
  10. Ensures effective and professional interface with all public services officials and any representative form other casinos.
  11. Assists guest and team members in the completion of incident/accident report.
  12. Ensures all support duties and responsibilities to all department are carries out in an efficient and timely manner and that immediate action is taken on any situation which might be illegal, life-threatening, or otherwise extraordinary.
  13. Learns Company Emergency Evacuation Procedures efficiently handle fires, evacuations, robbery attempts, bomb threats, etc. in a professional and calm manner that will not panic guest or team members.
  14. Identify all possible safety hazards and remove those hazards in an expedient manner.

Marginal Functions

  1. Performs CPR/medical assistance 
  2. Uses fire extinguisher
  3. Receives and logs lost and found items
  4. Escort guest and team members to their vehicles
  5. Contact Black Hawk Police Department when necessary
  6. Performs AED (Automatic External Defibrillator)

Mandatory Requirements

  1. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  2. Basic mathematical skills
  3. Work under pressure situations
  4. Possess sound, mature judgement
  5. Possess organizational/planning skills
  6. Colorado Gaming Support License required

Non-Mandatory Requirements

  1. AED and CPR certification
  2. Medical training
  3. Decision-making skills
  4. Fire-extinguishing training
  5. Have a thorough knowledge of the Company Emergency Evacuation Procedures to efficiently handle fires, evacuations, robbery attempts, bomb threats, etc.  in a professional, calm manner that will not panic guests or team member.
