Director of Admissions

Pay: starting at $75,000.00 per year

Full-time

Nassau County, NY

As the Director of Admissions your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, managing a strong client and referral flow, lead the admission process, marketing for the facility. Being a key component, in the coordination with the marketing program, you will provide client, referral, and family satisfaction. You will also maintain a positive public image and meet census goals.

Duties Include:

  • Assess inquiries and respond to referrers as a priority

  • Work with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate client flow

  • Ensure an immediate response to phone, fax and walk- inquiries and referrals

  • Coordinates tour, application, and sales process with customer, families and referrers

  • Meet with client and families on day of admission. Facilitate an initial introduction to the nursing staff on the unit

  • Communicate admission criteria to referral sources, clients and families

  • Work with administrator and appropriate staff to ensure consistent, effective admission, discharge, and transfer meetings

  • Maintain statistics indicating potential client flow, pending and lost inquiries, denials, hospital discharges, and marketing information

  • Work to initiate, nurture, and maintain contact with physicians, social workers, and discharge planners

  • Coordinate and participate in presentations about the facility to hospitals and physicians

    Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Ability to make great independent decisions

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills

  • Computer savvy - proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
