Description

Amazon is seeking a Visual Designer to play a key role in shaping the visual identity of the marketing materials created by our global marketing team. This role will support our recruitment goals and translate strategic concepts into inspiring experiences across multiple channels. You will leverage your design expertise and creative vision to solve challenging problems and contribute to the success of our expanding team.

You have extensive experience developing and producing high-volume media placements, ad sizes, and specifications (both offline and online) for multi-channel campaigns. You have worked in an agency or in-house creative team, and you appreciate being service-oriented to internal teams and external stakeholders. You optimize and guide the creation of efficient and user-friendly design systems at scale for teams and stakeholders. You collaborate and contribute to both the ideation and execution of design concepts, leveraging your expertise in graphic design, print, motion, and video editing. You skillfully navigate and meticulously adhere to multiple brand guidelines and creative strategies, ensuring consistent and cohesive creative output across all deliverables. You consistently raise the bar on design deliverables while actively mentoring and teaching others best practices. You are a visionary who transforms concepts into captivating in-person event experiences, showcasing your ability to bring designs to life through exceptional execution. You thrive in a creative environment, collaborating with copywriters, designers, and producers to deliver campaigns and projects that exceed expectations. You understand how to navigate the nuances of multiple audiences while maintaining a cohesive and consistent overall brand direction across all deliverables. Your ability to work quickly and efficiently, combined with your excellent technical graphic design skills, sets you apart.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize the production of creative assets across print and digital media channels, ensuring efficient and high-quality output.

  • Design and maintain user-friendly templates within our content management system, ensuring scalability and consistent application.

  • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, collaborating to overcome challenges for both creative and project deliverables.

  • Ensure that the quality of all creative output meets or exceeds asset guidelines, promoting visual excellence across all deliverables.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to produce assets more efficiently, utilizing the latest tools and best practices to maximize productivity and output quality.

  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional partners to align on creative direction, gather feedback, and drive projects forward seamlessly.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or applicable field

  • 4+ years of experience working in high-volume asset production in a fast-paced agency or corporate in-house environment

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with a high skill level InDesign, Photoshop, & Illustrator

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Bynder or equivalent asset management system is a plus

  • Experience creating assets in Google Web Designer or equivalent platform for digital content optimization

  • Understanding of experiential design and creating assets for events and physical spaces a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
