Job Description

Vice President, Accounting Operations - Global Business Services- Nashville,TN

Serve in a leadership capacity supporting the mission and vision of Aramark. Oversee and direct the Accounting processes within Global Business Services (GBS). This individual will be accountable for galvanizing a team under a common growth and operations platform, and drive improvement in key performance indicators (KPIs). The Leader will work to continuously ensure the organization is delivering operational excellence, while also identifying innovative and creative services and solutions to expand on internal and client requirements. The incumbent of this position will be responsible for determining the overall strategy, priorities and direction for operations within the area. The ideal candidate is comfortable with change, taking measured risk, and influencing decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all GBS Accounting processes, controls, and financial reporting produced by the GBS resources. This includes the Accounts Receivable, Cash & Banking, and Fixed Assets teams.

  • Accountable for the development and implementation of strategies that deliver high quality and cost-effective Finance and Accounting service delivery.

  • Lead and direct the planning and delivery of Finance and Accounting services to the GBS customers, while maintaining and enforcing all applicable policies and procedures.

  • Identify ongoing process improvement opportunities and implementation of enhancements to drive efficiency and improved levels of support contributing to "best in class" organizations.

  • Provide direction through supervision, retention, mentoring, training, and development of the GBS employees in support of the corporate goals and objectives.

  • Promote efficient and effective team working within GBS, promoting shared services as a model for 'new ways of working'

  • Collaborate, influence, and work closely with internal and external customers, corporate leadership and management, business development, operations, and other corporate functional support organizations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree or MBA in Finance or Accounting.

  • 10 + years of combined experience in finance and accounting and managing other support services.

  • Experience in a shared services environment.

  • 3+ years of experience managing a large team.

  • Strong analytical skills, creativity, and flexibility.

  • Proven leadership and experience with managing effective client relationships that are high, wide and deep.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a broad knowledge of management practices and good business analysis/project management skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to grasp a large, complex, matrix-oriented global business at a base level and use this understanding to set overall strategy and drive business process improvement.

  • Demonstrated business savvy to effectively communicate and work with other executives in support of achieving business and systems goals.
