WOW! Senior Competitive Market Analyst in Nashville, Tennessee

The Senior Competitive Market Analyst is responsible for studying market conditions to assess potential market expansion opportunities. This position will research and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data, trends, strategies, and competition aiming at increasing market expansion.

What you'll do:

  • Research direct and indirect competitors to gain insight into local market conditions. Included within this research is the identification of competitive products, offers, legacy pricing, and customer reviews

  • Utilizes online market research findings and databases

  • Interprets data, formulates reporting and makes recommendations including anticipated market share, potential homes passed targets, and opportunity density

  • Devise and evaluate methods for data collections

  • Creates executive summary presentations of opportunities

  • Designs specific research methods such as questionnaires or partnership with third-party vendors

  • Reviews government initiatives including grants, subsidies, and public-private partnerships

  • Monitors industry-related announcements impacting competitive conditions throughout the country

  • Tracks and prioritizes build opportunities consisting of greenfield, edge-out, MDU, and fill-in, and joint trench projects

  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Marketing, Public Relations or related business related function; or equivalent related experience

Experience/Skills Needed

  • 4+ years experience in marketing or related field

  • Previous experience in competitive analytics in telecommunications preferred

  • Skilled in the utilization of spreadsheet and presentation software

  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods

  • Comfortable working with large amounts of data and using software to manipulate it

  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across functions and levels of an organization to drive teams toward success-based results

  • Experience identifying and documenting business requirements at multiple levels across complex projects impacting several systems and functional areas

Computer Skills:

Google or Microsoft suite knowledge, Internet software, e-mail, database software.
