Registered Dietitian

This position is responsible for the advanced nutrition of residents. Responsible to manage the nutrition of short term, long term, hospice, and feeding tube residents.

  • RD is expected to review, develop, implement and monitor procedures and current practices of advanced nutrition. must conduct a monthly QAPI to present at the QA Meeting. The QAPI should identify an area needing improvement with a measurable goal and a strategy to attain that goal. will provide the Administrator, DON and other Directors updates regarding best practices and regulations.

  • Must provide ongoing mentorship, training, and project oversight of nutrition staff and manager.

  • RD is responsible customer service issues, she will oversee their resolution and ensure patients are satisfied with the outcome.

  • RD will be involved as necessary in DOH investigations and surveys, and coordinate with relevant departments including Nursing during these investigations.

  • RD must ensure communication is seamless between the Kitchen staff and the manager. Processes should be implemented and managed to ensure optimal collaboration between kitchen management, nursing staff, physicians, clinical staff and providers regarding the nutritional care of patients including recommendations for enteral nutrition.

  • The Clinical Dietary Department reviews menus and food served for nutritional value, regulatory compliance, and compliance with MD orders
