Job Summary and Qualifications

The Quality Manager assists with quality management activities, in conjunction with Market VPQ, for the campus.

What you will do in this role:

  • You will complete all daily quality and patient safety duties for the campus.

  • Your role initiates and facilitates coordination of quality, regulatory and performance improvement activities in conjunction with Market VPQ, Market IP Director and Market Regulatory Director.

  • Your role performs timely and accurate data collection, identification of opportunities for improvement and reviews improvement strategies / tactics with Market VPQ.

  • You will handle data analysis and review of presentations with Market VPQ prior to committees, workgroups and performance improvement activities.

  • Your role collaborates with Risk Management to conducts Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Serious Event Analysis (SEA) when events indicate and report to appropriate entities (i.e. corporate, PSO and regulatory bodies).

  • You will identify needs and opportunities for improvement in conjunction with Market VPQ based on outcome data, unit rounding, medical record review, RCA, FMEA and SEA.

  • You will participate in active rounding to observe practices, perform gap assessments, provide in-time education and advise Market VPQ of findings.

  • You will provide ongoing monitoring for patient safety aspects to identify gaps including daily safety huddles and communication of findings to Market VPQ.

  • Your role communicates and provides update to Market VPQ and leadership as requested.

  • You role participates in market wide workgroups and performance improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement and survey readiness.

  • You will collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to facilitate practices based on best-demonstrated practices and evidence based care protocols.

  • Your role will assist with Ongoing Physician Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focus Physician Practice Evaluation (FPPE) at the direction of VPQ and Market Quality Director, CMO and Chief of Staff.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Associate’s degree in nursing is required, bachelor’s degree is preferred, from an accredited school of nursing

  • Current Tennessee RN license

  • 2 years of clinical experience highly preferred

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support
