Project Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE :

The role is responsible for the oversight and delivery of Compliance projects across Sedgwick to the agreed timescales. The projects are typically part of data management/purging and will involve overseeing compliance and maintenance of purging relevant data against the appropriate retention schedule(s), ensuring that they:

  • meet the agreed brief

  • delivered to time, quality, and objectives

  • delivered in an integrated manner with other project teams

  • integrated effectively into operations

  • are compliant with Sedgwick processes and standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Takes full responsibility for delivery of multiple projects using internal teams, partners, and suppliers.

  • Manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders across multiple countries.

  • Manage the delivery of projects to the agreed time, budget, and quality.

  • Develop a full plan for each Compliance Project which supports the business’s aims and plans.

  • Plans and directs projects from proposal initiation to final operational stage.

  • Identifying key efficiencies within projects to prevent duplication of effort.

  • Manage changes to the scope and status of project carefully keeping all stakeholders informed.

  • Work alongside technical colleagues to manage data retention and deletion projects, ensuring that relevant data is deleted when appropriate and in accordance with specific retention schedules.

  • Manage project risks and ensure that there are effective processes in place to resolve and escalate delivery issues.

  • Determine the best method to resolve data errors and inconsistencies.

  • Reports on project status to key stakeholders within the business areas and within the Internal Audit team.

  • Understands and reports on compliance projects at an individual level and global lens

  • Establish close working relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Deliver robust and efficient solutions for the delivery of Sedgwick’s Compliance projects.

  • Seeks out and understands Industry Best Practice.

  • Where appropriate, employs innovative technology and approaches in agreement with business.

  • Contributes to the creation of any required Business Cases, guides and advises key stakeholders.

  • Identifies and takes swift corrective action where projects are delayed or failing.

  • Develops and maintain monthly performance metrics to support Compliance Planning and Control reporting.

  • Reports on key success indicators.

  • Continuously improve Compliance project delivery processes.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).

  • Travels as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing

Bachelor's degree with major in Business Administration, Statistics, or Quantitative Analysis from an accredited college or university preferred. Computer Sciences courses preferred.

Experience

Eight (8) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include three (3) years project management, office operations management, managed care, insurance-related and/or statistical analysis experience. Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of related field procedures or insurance-related procedures and/or managed care systems and operations

  • Strong knowledge of project management

  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis

  • Analytical and interpretive skills

  • Strong organizational skills
