Amazon Program Manager, Capital Governance in Nashville, Tennessee

Description

Amazon Engineering Services is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Program Manager that can provide capital planning and project management support directly contributing to growing Amazon’s customer fulfillment network. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for budget controls over Customer Fulfillment Business Units, including support reporting on approved budgets, forecasted funding, and communication on future funding needs.You will have ownership and responsibility over budget health of multi-billion dollar Amazon fulfillment Operations expansions globally.

As a Program Manager (PM) you will manage and support one or multiple of Amazon’s business units: Global Customer Fulfillment, Global Air Program, Global Specialty Fulfillment, Amazon Logistics, Emerging Markets, Pharmacy, Merch by Amazon, Sort Center Network, and Initiatives.

Key attributes of a successful PM for this role include excellent written and verbal communication, ability to learn and be curious, and strong financial acumen. Candidate must be highly motivated and effective within distributed teams.

Key job responsibilities

  • Ownership and responsibility over budget health of multi-billion dollar Amazon fulfillment Operations expansions globally.

  • Coordinate budget status and accuracy both within Capital Planning teams and budget execution teams.

  • Manage recurring budget status meetings with various partners/functions, as well as monthly/quarterly budget status updates to VP level leadership.

  • Partner and contribute across all functions within Customer Fulfillment and will actively manage multiple stakeholders including Finance, Startup, Real Estate, and Construction.

  • Ensure the accuracy of budget data while providing reporting on the overall financial health of all business units.

  • Manage internal teams and build processes and tools to enable scalable and flexible operations.

  • Retrieve and analyze data using Excel, Tableau, SQL or other data management systems.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
