Job Summary and Qualifications
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES – Under general direction of the Client Platform Manager, the Platform Engineer provides support to all Physician Service Group (PSG) business service lines.
Primary responsibilities include:
Support and manage PSG public Azure and private Nutanix cloud infrastructure.
Identify, manage, and sunset all legacy (non-HCA) network hardware and connectivity.
Design, test, and remediate technically complex non-standard applications and hardware to the HCA trusted network.
Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills and collaborate with enterprise/field resources. This position requires strong people management skills, personal drive, and the ability to see strategy through to execution in a matrix-reporting environment. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills are required.
Create and maintain a large portfolio of non-standard/non-enterprise ambulatory applications and hardware deployments.
Ensure project dashboards are reviewed to proactively avoid issue and outages.
Create, deploy, and manage enterprise physical and virtual server infrastructures.
Identify, research, and deploy emerging technology across the enterprise.
Create and Support the Nutanix cluster and VMware infrastructure.
Ensure project technology decisions are aligned to enterprise architecture standards and policies.
Develop, deploy, and manage disaster recovery and data back procedures.
Execute inventory management processes of non-standard server hardware and software assets.
Create scripting solutions within PowerShell for various administrative needs.
Assist senior level engineers on projects and support related items.
Assist with remediation of EMR archives.
Communicate and build relationships with corporate/field resources.
Additional assignments assigned by manager.

Other Qualifications:
A thorough knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technical services technology.
Strong technical skills in configuring, installing, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows (all versions), Microsoft Office suite, antivirus software, TCP/IP, encryption software, and imaging software as well as experience in troubleshooting peripherals.
Preferred experience with SCCM, PowerShell, and Windows 10 administration.
Experience with Google Private Cloud, Azure, or AWS Hosted solutions.
Strong understands of technical support processes and workflow.
Understands pertinent HIPAA guidelines.
Strong analytical skills and detailed organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Strong demonstration of customer orientation.
Experience with Citrix or VMWare horizon preferred.
Strong experience using an enterprise ticketing solution (Service Now experience a plus).
Preferred experience with Microsoft SQL.
Knowledge of local area networks
Strong knowledge of IMAP, DLAP, Microsoft ActiveSync, Active Directory, Group Policy, WINS, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP
Strong fluency of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs
Demonstrated ability to work in stressful situations
CompTIA A+ and Network + preferred
Ability to bridge the technology/managerial communications gap and clearly articulate information to individuals/groups with varying levels of technical understanding
Strong competency of PC use and required tools
Physical Demands / Working Conditions:
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work is performed in an office environment. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations. Occasional travel among ambulatory PSG facilities in the PSG divisions may be required.
