Th i s role will be responsible for ensuring that the overall maintenance of the hotel is up to standards which will include efficiency & safety. Based on the applicant's building maintenance and hotel experience, the qualified candidate will be considered for either a Class 1 (Advanced). Class 2 (Intermediate) or Class 3 (Entry) Engineer position. This role will be offered at least one weekend day off! Friday/Saturday or Sunday/Monday OFF!

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all mechanical items in guest rooms and public areas.

  • Receive direction for house calls via radio.

  • Assist engineers and mechanics with repairs.

  • Clean all work areas after completing job.

  • Fill out Daily Work requests in Synergy.

  • Assist hotel guests with any guest room maintenance issues (plumbing, lighting, electrical, painting, etc)

  • Perform preventative maintenance responsibilities on all guest rooms as assigned

  • Maintain all mechanical items in guest rooms and public areas.

  • Work as a team to keep the back of house areas and equipment in safe, good working order.

  • Assists mechanics and external contractors in repairs of hotel property and equipment.

  • Have a thorough understanding of OSHA rules and regulations.

  • Be familiar with all hotel amenities and hotel facilities.

  • Based on class of engineering position, responsibilities will vary to include handling of commercial equipment.

Qualifications

  • Previous building maintenance experience required. Hotel experience preferred.

  • Must be able to

  • Must be able to handle frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.

  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire shift.

  • Required to perform inspections and repairs anywhere in or out of hotel property.

  • Frequent bending and/or kneeling required.

  • Candidate must have excellent time management skills, the ability to work with both internal and external customers and a keen eye for detail.
