FirstService Residential Food and Beverage Supervisor in Nashville, Tennessee

Job Overview:

The Food and Beverage supervisor is responsible for assisting the F&B Manager with the overall dining program and execution of all aspects of the culinary experience for the community. This includes daily operation of the restaurant and bar, training new employees, to catering and special events.​​​

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide management and leadership to assigned property and book of business.
  • Manage the functions of a team within a property while maintaining standards of excellence for processes, methods, and personnel.
  • Act as liaison to ensure quality service is delivered, that Board expectations are met and to assist in prompt response and resolution to questions/problems.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of the contract between the association and FirstService Residential. Ensure all contractual obligations are being met.
  • Initiate contact with new residents.
  • Conduct site inspections regularly, identify deficiencies and provide recommendations and action plans to improve the property.
  • Oversee all construction projects and ensure property maintenance/improvement and other related projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Create, maintain, and upload a wide variety of information in our portal including but not limited to work orders, signed meeting minutes and Monthly Management Report.
  • Interview, select, recommend, hire, train and schedule assigned staff. Ensure proper coverage and staffing levels. Provide directions to staff and assist in the investigation and resolution of problems.

  • Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.

  • Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
  • Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
  • May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
  • Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
  • Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.

  • Maintains a high level of Resident contact throughout service hours.

  • Builds strong, effective teams through ongoing supervision, training, coaching, counseling and leadership.

  • Ensure proper response and handling of all community emergencies through training with staff, residents, buildings, etc. within company guidelines to minimize liabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules.
  • Comply with all ordinances and regulations per the location’s jurisdictions.

  • Ability to manage operations in absence of the F&B Manager.

  • Ensure the utmost proper hygiene by monitoring staff for clean and proper uniforms, personal grooming and food handling.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership skills, able to develop a team in front of house.
  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • ServSafe Certified.

What We Offer:

As a full-time associate, you will be eligible for full comprehensive benefits to include your choice of multiple medical plans, dental, and Vision. In addition, you will be eligible for time off benefits, paid holidays, and a 401k with company match. Occasional travel may be required to attend training and other company functions.

Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 annually; paid bi-weekly

Schedule: Monday - Friday (Hours TBD)
