Amazon Communications Specialist, Operations Internal Comms- Campaigns in Nashville, Tennessee

Description

Amazon is seeking a creative, self-motivated, and analytical internal communications specialist to join our WW Operations Internal Communications (OIC) Global Campaigns team. This individual will support the consistent implementation of Operations business level safety campaigns and narratives for our global Operations workforce.

The candidate will work with broad stakeholder groups across global Operations and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) organizations. They will be strongly collaborative and have the capacity to move quickly with an unrelenting tenacity to get things done. The ideal candidate is passionate about building creative, data driven, internal communications that have clear, measurable outcomes. They are an idea generator and builder of mechanisms that scale, with a strong sense of accountability, and a keen focus on delivering great customer experiences.

Key job responsibilities

-Own execution of business specific safety campaigns on owned channels, in partnership with WHS and Ops leadership

-Work closely with WHS to effectively ground business level safety campaigns in available data

-Leverage and ensure the consistent utilization of existing WHS key messages, program materials, and approved assets across Ops businesses globally

-In partnership with the global safety lead, identify opportunities to ladder business efforts up to tentpole safety campaigns

-Consistently identify opportunities to Invent and Simplify, creating scalable mechanisms and consistent experiences for employees regardless of region or role

-Navigate a heavily matrixed organization and influence a wide range of stakeholders who may have competing priorities

-Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for OIC’s business leads

-Support executive communications efforts, as needed

-Regularly support issues through the team’s on-call rotation

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field

  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment

  • Team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done

  • Experience maintaining composure and steady vision in a fast moving, dynamic environment

  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity

  • Ability to dive deep into the data, yet able to step-back and communicate both the strategic and immediate implications on priorities

  • High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing projects and priorities simultaneously

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $61,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $147,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
