Aerial Group Communications and Marketing Coordinator in Nashville, Tennessee

Role Overview:

The Communications & Marketing Coordinator will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing comprehensive communication strategies while also spearheading marketing initiatives for Aerial Recovery. Reporting directly to the COO, this role involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and promotion of the organization's mission, events, and activities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Communications:

  • Develops and executes annual strategic communication plans aligned with organizational goals . Produces the following communications materials:

  • Creates Newsletters

  • Creates fundraising and promotes campaigns

  • Publishes and promotes online courses

  • Publishes and promotes event registrations

  • Maintains and grows Aerial Recovery's Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn accounts

  • Maintains regular updates on the Aerial Recovery website 

  • Creates press releases and interview talking points

  • Coordinates media production to promote initiatives, events, and missions 

  • Organizes footage and content for events and deployments

  • Coordinates and publishes SITREPs for disaster relief operations

  • Marketing Initiatives: Spearhead marketing campaigns to promote Aerial Recovery's mission, events, and activities.

  • Graphic Design: Oversee the creation of visual materials to support communication and marketing efforts.

  • Social Media Management: Manage Aerial Recovery and COO social media presence, ensuring consistent and engaging content.

  • Event Promotion: Coordinate logistics and promotional activities for special events and functions.

  • Content Development: Draft articles, news releases, and social media posts for external publications.

  • Digital and Print Production: Support the production of digital and print promotional materials, ensuring a unified brand image.

  • Stakeholder Relationship Management:

  • Communication Liaison: This person serves as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, screening and directing inquiries as appropriate.

  • Oversees and coordinates all Aerial Recovery phone call inquiries

  • Oversees and coordinates all Aerial Recovery general email inquirie

  • Maintain and nurture relationships with key contacts and partners by coordinating meetings, creating campaigns, and crafting customized impact reports

  • Maintains internal stakeholder communications channels

  • Aerial Recovery Volunteer Corps

  • Aerial War Room

  • Heal the Heroes chats

  • Heal the Heroes Significant Others Chats

  • Event-specific training and fundraising chats

  • Fundraising Support: Assist in crafting effective fundraising initiatives and support donor relationship management efforts.

  • Event Support: Provide marketing, stakeholder communications, RP, and logistical support for events and fundraisers

  • Back-end work: Manages technical aspects of communication platforms and systems

    Skills Required:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and proofreading skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Canva software.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and work independently.

  • Able to handle multiple projects and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in social media management for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Youtube, and X(formerly Twitter) and general IT knowledge.

  • Basics of photography or willingness to learn.

  • Customer service-oriented with a can-do approach.
