Job Description

Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization's financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired. 5 plus years relevant work experience.

Within Oracle Health, our Engineering Operations team serves as a Nexus point for defining, scaling and improving operational processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide Healthcare R&D input to GBU Ensemble (people’s tasks, budget allocations per product/team/group, etc.),

  • Track open/close vacancies, recruitment progress, partner closely with recruiters to align and make steady progress on closing Engineering candidate pipeline.

  • Track and Manage headcount and budgets (T&E, training, etc.)

  • Simplify and improve reporting of headcount, requisition status and budget.

  • Fully own the Vendor Management Process which includes but is not limited to: a) Working with vendors on the basic contractual diligence before legal is involved representing R&D; b) Helping us choose proper vendors and perform a due diligence for internal Oracle tools before selecting anything external. c) Run JIRA Vendor Management project to track renewals

  • Work with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) group if we need to request capacity change and provide tracking on our OCI usage.

  • Serve as a Project Manager and / or participate as needed in any budget related initiatives

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years Project Management experience with the ability to develop concrete action plans and drive execution to meet timelines and deliver on commitments.

  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence, negotiate, and drive organizational engagement.

  • Managing programs end to end by balancing the key objectives of scope, budget, time and effort

  • Ability to Influence and engage various teams across the board and bring in best practices

  • Working experience on agile methodologies, program management processes, stakeholder management

  • Effective written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and executive-level messaging skills

  • Take the initiative and be responsible for delivering solutions to complex issues by working effectively with the team and other stakeholders

  • Feeling at home communicating & driving change management & adoption of key program management principles

  • PMP, SAFE, PgMP is a big plus

  • Prior experience in managing Data science and machine learning projects would be a big plus
