The Cigna Group Analytics UX Expert - Hybrid in Nashville, Tennessee

What We Do:

Enable more affordable Healthcare by enabling Cigna’s Network Contracting organization to negotiate best-in-class rates with healthcare providers. We bring prescriptive insights to the forefront of the decision-making processes and position our teams to achieve better outcomes due to our work.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide expert content/professional leadership on complex analytics projects.

  • Exercise considerable creativity, foresight, and judgement in conceiving and delivering initiatives.

  • Partner with other analytics team members to make executive-level recommendations and align on strategy and plan

  • Perform data validation analysis, including high level data quality/audit checks, process/logic/assumption documentation and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of solutions.

  • Partner with other analytics team members as well as growth team members to continuously improve department procedures.

  • Maintains analytics skillset through an understanding of new technologies, automation techniques, and the ability to execute and apply new skills to day-to-day work.

  • Communicate complex material succinctly and effectively to a variety of audiences.

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

  • Enjoys tinkering with new technical solutions.

  • Considers the “art of the possible” when designing user interface/user experiences.

  • Constantly ponders the, “So what?” and “Now what?” behind the work.

  • Feels comfortable explaining technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Eager to find ways to make healthcare more simple, affordable, and predictable.

Technical Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; Advanced graduate degree (e.g., MBA, PhD, etc.) or equivalent (typically 5+ years) work experience preferred;

  • User interface and user experience design expert

  • Advanced knowledge of BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.)

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of various data development tools (Teradata, SQL, AWS, Airflow, Python, etc.)

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and create an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization.

  • Proactive and thoughtful approach – an ability to anticipate needs, identify potential issues before they arise and proactively suggest improvements.

  • Ideal candidate will be self-motivated, curious, and driven by ideas.

  • Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
