Job Information

Vanderbilt University Administrative Assistant, TERM, Poster Core in Nashville, Tennessee

This a Term position which will last until 12/31/2024 with the possibility of renewal through the next fiscal year. The position is 32 hours/week and requires 100% in-person work. This position does not allow for remote work.

The Poster Core Administrative Assistant will assume customer service responsibilities as part of the Vanderbilt Basic Sciences Poster Printing Core and is a key individual responsible for assisting with communication and presentation by printing posters of various sizes and formats using large format printers. Supports and performs related duties as assigned by the Printing Projects Coordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communication and presentation by printing posters of various sizes and formats with a Large Format printer

  • Entering/processing orders through iLab Operation Software with VBS Poster Printing Core

  • Support and perform related duties as assigned by the Printing Projects Coordinator of VBS Poster Printing Cores

  • Work with other departmental staff and faculty within Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt Medicine Center when payment numbers have issues that may arise when processing payment for poster printing.

  • Ensure payments are processed through VU Cores with the appropriate workday number.

  • Help with supplies, such as inks, papers, and maintenance upkeep of printers.

Qualifications

  • A high school degree or its equivalent is necessary.

  • Associate’s degree is preferred

  • At least two years of work experience is necessary.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community are strongly preferred.

  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities is strongly preferred.
