BAE Systems Accountant II, Accounts Payable & Intercompany (Full-time Remote) in Nashua, New Hampshire

Job Description

BAE Systems, Electronic Systems (ES) Sector is seeking an Accounts Payable and Intercompany Accountant. The accounting organization is a trusted business partner delivering information and innovative solutions for decision-making in order to deliver quality products and capabilities to our customers and, ultimately, the warfighter. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Record complex accounting transactions including preparing and posting journal entries

  • Lead the Intercompany processing for the US Defense ledger

  • Perform analysis and reconciliation of general ledger account activity

  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly and year end closing process

  • Focus on continuous improvement including automating manual processes and reports, primarily in the Accounts Payable arena

  • Create and mature internal controls for Purchasing and Accounts Payable activities

  • Support internal and external audit requirements

  • Execute special projects as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related business discipline) and 2 years of applicable work experience, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in Accounts Payable processing

  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Good planning, time management and organizational skills

  • Detail oriented with ability to bring forward Management level presentations of information

  • Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $64130 - $109010

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
