ProLog, Inc. Tools and Parts Attendant in NAS Jacksonville, Florida

The employee shall work in an assigned Tool Crib and Mega Center and shall perform any combination of the following duties:

  • Support the Production Department’s efforts to produce the negotiated workload.

  • Receives stores and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies, measuring devices, hazardous material and equipment in an aviation industrial environment.

  • Maintains files of documents used and prepared while compiling records of tools and hazardous material utilized by artisans.

  • Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of tools and equipment and supplies. Conducts searches for lost or misplace tools and equipment.

  • Unpacks and stores new equipment. Visually inspects tools or measures with appropriate devices for wear or defects and reports damage or worn equipment to supervisors. May coat tools with lubricants or other prescribed preservatives using a brush or spray gun.

  • Routinely builds tool box cut out silhouettes of tools in foam and then layout in desired patters for assembly of tool boxes. Writes production reports based on data compiled. Tracks production shop schedules to ensure timely completion of daily, monthly and quarterly schedules.

  • Attaches or engraves identification information on tools and equipment using an electric marking tool.

  • May dispose empty Hazardous Material containers in accordance with EPA and government facility instructions.

  • Performs additional duties as prescribed by the respective supervisor within the scope of Tool Room Attendant at either Mega Centers or Central Tool rooms.

    Required Experience, Training & Certifications:

  • Should have a basic knowledge of Naval Aviation hand tools and measuring devises.

  • Past experience working in an aviation maintenance organizational tool room is desired.

  • Past documented experience with handling Hazardous Material.

  • Must be comfortable in the use of Microsoft Office applications, a mature and respectful demeanor and a professional appearance are a must.

  • Any candidate that has past ATICS and MAXIMO data system experience is a plus.

  • History of working in a well-structured industrial environment, a working knowledge of lean six sigma and ISO 9000 principles is desirable.
