Description

The role of the Factory IT is to serve as a liaison between the IT department and the factory floor, ensuring smooth integration and utilization of digital tools and systems. They provide support and training to factory employees, manage IT projects, and ensure compliance with security and compliance standards. The Factory IT plays a crucial role in driving digital transformation, improving efficiency, and promoting the use of technology to enhance productivity in the factory environment.

Main tasks of the role

  1. Digital:
  • Oversee, develop, and implement operating systems, processes, and infrastructure MES modules.

  • Look for opportunities for improvement or revision.

  • Provide training, motivation, and performance feedback using MES modules and digital tools.

  • Monitor, manage, and control MES progression and development.

  • Ensure correct management of daily manufacturing data.

  • Promote lean and agile manufacturing through digital transformation projects.

  • Develop Power BI, Microsoft Teams, Office 365, and other digital tools.

  • Understand the needs of Production and Supply departments for improvement.

  1. Service:
  • Provide Microsoft Dynamics 1st level support to functional users.

  • Support legacy applications and manage local capacity.

  • Manage IT part of local projects.

  • Accountable for FFIT hardware and software inventory and lifecycle.

  • Coordinate FFIT within the factory and the Company.

  • Ensure appropriate licensing, security, and compliance standards.

  • Execute IT maintenance activities.

  • Manage user access and permissions.

  • Install factory software and configure local settings.

  • Ensure backup and archiving of data.

  • Perform physical changes to the network and manage remote access.

  • Manage factory accounts lifecycle.

  • Coordinate IT part of functional projects and solutions lifecycle.

  1. Production:
  • Manage data of production lines and focus on reports to identify improvements and losses.

  • Work with line managers to set KPIs above target.

  • Comply with company requirements and update systems.

  • Anticipate operational risks and provide strategic solutions.

  • Develop, maintain, and understand PowerApp, Power BI, and other Microsoft 365 Copilot tools.

  • Report on process control.

  1. Leadership:
  • Collaborate with the production department to guide and support the production team.

  • Facilitate and provide training on digital tools for agile and simple work.

  • Assist in proper communication between departments.

  • Identify training needs and organize training and coaching sessions.

  • Manage digital tools implementation projects and provide updates.

  • Attend monthly meetings and report project status.

  1. Focus on Quality, Food Safety, Safety, and Environment:
  • Know applicable standards related to production.

  • Focus on improving standards, digitalization, agility, and simplicity in processes for operators and users.

Competences

  • 3/4 years of work experience as Business Analyst / IT Specialist

  • Bachelor / master’s degree in engineering / information technology

  • Good organizational, analytical and planning skills combined with a marked curiosity and a strong passion about Business Processes
