Essential responsibilities will include but not be limited to: * Implements Medical Department operations - including but not limited to the following: * Conducting assessment, treatment, referral and recording of occupational and emergent non-occupational injuries/illnesses * Perform medical surveillance and licensing exams, such as pre-employment, fitness for duty, powered industrial equipment, DOT physicals and OSHA required exams. * Administering the policies of the occupational medical program consistent with the company's general policies concerning health services. * Utilizing the necessary equipment and supplies necessary to achieve the objectives of the Medical Department and operate within budget guidelines. * Administering the plant's Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. * Partnering with professional health resources and department supervision to place injured workers into modified/light duty assignments which meet their physical capabilities and promote rehabilitation. * Interacting with on-site and community physicians, nurses, and physical therapists to promote employee health and wellness. * Staying updated on knowledge of federal, state, and local laws/regulations and other best practices applicable to occupationa
