In this leadership role, you are an internal technical master at the line level who ensures the line team is performing at a level that sustains and improves business results on one or more of 6 stars model. You model priority setting, manage the plan-do-check-adjust cycle and provide coaching and training for your team.

How you will contribute

Without you, we could not deliver high-quality snacks to our customers. You will operate and maintain equipment to build technical mastery and to deliver on safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and morale targets, understanding losses in your area and taking the appropriate action to eliminate them. You will use autonomous and progressive maintenance standards to maintain equipment and support new product development. In this role, you will ensure that safety processes are observed, that quality assurance activities are performed and that resources are properly allocated and available during the shift. You will take the lead for shutdown maintenance, root-cause analysis, stops reductions loss analysis and breakdown elimination.

  • Autonomous maintenance (AM) Step 4 systems and progressive maintenance (PM) Step 3 systems

  • Maintaining equipment at basic conditions independently, including the execution of AM & PM (break-down maintenance, planned maintenance) standards on dedicated equipment

  • Total productive maintenance and Six Sigma including qualification of AM steps 5-6, and PM step 3

  • Leading line teams

  • Handling challenging interpersonal situations tactfully

  • Influencing people in a union environment

  • Communicating effectively verbally and in writing and good attention to detail

More about this role

Duties may include (but are not limited) to:

  • Maintain clean and orderly plant / equipment; involves working in food manufacturing environment with high degree of noise and temperature extremes

  • Use knowledge of sanitation procedures to ensure all products are free of contamination through elimination of all possible sources of infestation or unsanitary condition Maintains internal control over supplies, ordering when necessary

  • Develop and maintain plant master sanitation schedule

  • Develop, implement, maintain sanitation documents and records

  • Conduct plant sanitation inspections and participate in all corporate sanitation audits Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of assigned duties

  • Support plant metrics such as GMP, PIC/PEC, Pest control, Audits

  • Drive sanitation practices that produce safe quality Triscuit that meet regulatory and company requirements

  • Responsible for sanitation related trainings

Job Specific Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in similar positions (i.e. Quality technician, Supervisor, Production Supervisor, Operations Supervisor or similar)

  • Previous experience leading teams.

  • Communication skills

  • Previous experience working in a Manufacturing food or beverage environment (preferred)

  • Experience working in a union enviroment

  • Great organizational skills

  • Knowledge of Il6s

Education / Certifications:

  • High school Diploma/GED required

  • Associate degree or 2 year degree required

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).

Work schedule:

  • Mon -Fri. Flexibility is required

  • OT to work on weekends
