North Central College, IL Project Coordinator, AI Summer Institute on Communities in Naperville, Illinois

Employment Status: Staff

Description of Key Responsibility:

  • Serve as the central contact for North Central College for this collaborative grant with New York University ( NYU )

  • Research and collect literature to inform the project

  • Coordinate on-campus meetings with NCC stakeholders and participants

  • Coordinate virtual meetings with industry partners, NYU partners, and NCC community members

  • Arrange stipends for participants and guest speakers

  • Work with NYU staff and guest speakers to coordinate and plan travel arrangements for one-week summer colloquium

  • Reserve rooms, order food, order materials, and provide other necessary support for the summer colloquium

  • Recruit student participants for the summer colloquium

  • Coordinate assessment activities

  • Serve as liaison to Principal Investigator/Co-Principal Investigator and personnel in other offices on campus

  • Collaborate with the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs to meet compliance requirements

  • Assist the grant PI with all other project-related responsibilities

Education/Training:

A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but candidates who have successfully completed high school and have an excellent record of experience with related tasks will be considered.

Experience:

Experience with library databases is strongly preferred.

The person in this position will perform responsibilities that are essential to the planning and execution of the NSF ReDDDoT planning grant.
