As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of technologists who architect and own the Collaboration and Productivity ecosystem for our organization. You will ensure that the team delivers high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions that meet the business needs and align with the IT strategy. You will also collaborate with other IT leaders, stakeholders, and vendors to plan, execute, and support Collaboration and Productivity projects and initiatives.

This role will serve as a key lead to grow our success of great delivery on time and budget, with the best quality in mind.

A Day in the Life

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Collaboration and Productivity technologist experts, including hiring, performance management, and career development

  • Define and implement the Collaboration and Productivity roadmap, architecture, and governance for the organization, in alignment with the IT strategy and best practices

  • Manage the delivery and support of Microsoft 365 solutions, including Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, and Security

  • Ensure the security, compliance, and availability of the Collaboration and Productivity environment, including monitoring, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery

  • Manage the budget, contracts, and vendor relationships for Collaboration and Productivity services and products

  • Provide technical guidance, training, and documentation to the team and the end-users

  • Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and innovations in Collaboration and Productivity domains

  • Gather, review, assess and partner to drive new ideas, initiatives and projects through innovation, demand and global portfolio processes.

  • Proactively engage with Medtronic business and Global IT partners to identify and define opportunities where the application of information technology can advance the strategic goals and objectives of Medtronic

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 16+years of IT experience or 15+ years with Master’s degree

  • 5+ years of managerial experience, which includes goal settings and performance management.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Creating an inspiring and diverse team environment with an open communication culture, setting clear team goals with ownership and accountability on deliverablesBuilding high performance, motivated and innovative team culture by leading with empathy.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years of experience in managing IT teams and projects, preferably in Microsoft 365 or cloud-based environments

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft 365 solutions, including Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, and Security

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 architecture, governance, security, and best practices

  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills

  • Solid presentation skills, including the ability to translate data concepts and technical information into business terms (e.g., ability to explain complex technical solutions and architecture strategies to non-technical resources)

  • Strong results orientation (driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc.)

  • Ability to work collaboratively and partner with employees, leaders, clients, and vendors

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global, virtual organization

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Work experience in the Medical Device Industry, or other regulated industry

  • Certification in Microsoft 365 or related technologies is a plus
