From your PASSION to ours

The Wastewater Treatment Plant Tech is responsible for operating a 1.5 MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant. It is a waste-activated sludge facility with an SBR, Belt Press, Sand Filters, and DAF. The successful candidate will operate, troubleshoot, evaluate equipment problems, perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance tasks, and execute proper lab analysis procedures.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

· Perform all operational requirements of the job.

· Perform preventative maintenance tasks unsupervised.

· Respond to process indicators and make changes as needed for most abnormal situations.

· Conduct most trouble shooting and repair of the WWTP equipment proficiently.

· Perform equipment modifications to improve efficiency or minimize breakdowns.

· Develop PM schedules and procedures for all WWTP equipment and processes.

· Instruct lower level technicians to troubleshoot and solve problems.

· Demonstrate intermediate skill performance in most maintenance functions. Primary Functions are as follows: Electricity, Electronics, PLC’s/HMI’s, Plumbing, Mechanical, Machinie shopwright/millwright, Welding, and Pneumatics/Hydraulics.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education

· High School Diploma required

Experience

· One (1) year of relevant on-site operating experience at a Class 1 or higher wastewater system.

· One year of food manufacturing experience preferred.

Specialized Knowledge

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Skills / Abilities

· Must be able to analyze, read, and write reports, manuals, and procedures.

· Familiar with computer operating systems and Microsoft Office.

· Strong communication, both written and verbal, as well as interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work autonomously as well as in an effective team environment.

· Basic math skills as well as the ability to calculate averages required.

Professional Certifications

· Licensing: Idaho Wastewater Operator Class I license (WWTP Operator I) or equivalent from another state.
