BURN MANUFACTURING Carbon Investment Lead - Kenya in Nairobi, Kenya

About the role

BURN  is seeking a Carbon Investment Lead to spearhead the financing for BURN’s carbon offset expansion across Africa. This sell-side role will own identifying, nurturing and closing investors to raise investments for BURN’s carbon offset projects.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Build and execute a comprehensive market mapping strategy to identify potential investors and lead on outreach.

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of investor financing for our target project markets.

  • Own the full lifecycle of investor relationship management, with support from the investor relations team.

  • Work with the Marketing department to increase BURN's visibility to the ideal investment target audience.

  • Establish, monitor, and report on goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).

    Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience working in sell-side investment, including a track record of nurturing, and closing big-ticket international deals.

  • Experience with international cashflows, SPVs, legal structuring and international fundraising is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in project financing preferred.

  • Excellent grasp of financial modelling and analysis and navigating due diligence processes on the sell side.

  • Mature, highly motivated, energetic self-starter who takes ownership and works independently.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Above-average negotiation skills. Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
