BURN MANUFACTURING Audio-Visual Content Creator in Nairobi, Kenya

About the role

BURN is looking for an Audio-Visual Content Creator who will be tasked with producing content that combines both audio and visual elements to communicate messages, tell stories, entertain, educate, and promote BURN’s products and services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adept at using semi-pro mirrorless cameras for BOTH photography and video purposes

  • Understand the impact video content makes on our audience. You take as much pride in a 30-minute documentary as you do in a short 30-second mobile promotion or a 10-second YouTube teaser 

  • Solid grasp of current and evolving social media platforms and how to leverage video for audience traction and engagement

  • Be creative and able to work with subject matter experts to turn ideas into compelling scripts/concepts that are shared through video 

  • Be able to shoot on the fly and create content in an intuitive, creative way

  • Suggestions and ideas to take a project idea from concept to completion 

  • Use a variety of technical skills and software to complete production, including Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects 

  • Produce product marketing content, and conduct studio shoots independently (or with teammates), including directing the instructors, running the camera, setting up lights, sound, set design, etc. 

  • Researching and produce and post product videos and photos used for social media channels and related marketing programs (demo video, ads, informational content, and social media content.) 

  • Create and organize stock image/video library. 

  • Production: Planning, story line, script creation and editing, camera operator, sound operator, lighting operator.   

  • Post-production (with 3D and motion designer): clip Editing, motion graphics, sound editing, music editing, color grading. 

  • Communicate with team about creative content scheduling, deadlines, and logistics as needed 

  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the production team to continuously raise the bar in terms of production value. 

  • Analyze video performance, maintain/improve our visual standards for videos and shorts. 

  • Maintain a video content calendar for social media and sales channels 

    Skills and Experience

  • Hands-on experience in photography and photo editing

  • Hands-on experience in videography and video editing

  • At least three (3) years of agency or in-house creative department experience required

  • Portfolio demonstrating previous photography and videography work completed 

  • Proficiency in Adobe Products (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom etc.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

  • Prove basic website design skills and knowledge (Content Management Systems, HTML etc.)

  • Understanding of the latest social media trends and practices

  • Any extra design-related certification is an added advantage
