Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Control Tech - 3rd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $24.50 - $29.75 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Job Summary

Test, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical and electronic machinery and/or systems.

Job Responsibilities

"• Ensures compliance with all safety and housekeeping practices & company policies and procedures.

• Troubleshoots and repairs machine and equipment failures with necessary hand tools, portable power tools, and soldering irons.

• Attends work on a regular basis.

• Performs complex work with high degree of accuracy and quality.

• Assist, trains, and mentors other production and maintenance personnel as needed.

• Reads and can modify if required schematic diagrams, job orders, and written procedures to determine required parts or procedures to follow for repair.

• Uses test equipment such as oscilloscope, signal generators, power supplies and multimeters to check electrical requirements.

• Tests and calibrates units according to the specifications and replaces defective components if necessary.

• Maintains test equipment.

• Develop schematic diagrams of electrical systems."

Qualifications:

Education level required

Equivalent to completion of an accredited, indentured apprenticeship or equivalent to basic high school education required.

Years and area of experience required

A 2 year technical school certificate of completion of training in the trade required.

Technical knowledge

"• Requires the use of advanced ship mathematics, together wit the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, handbook formulas, and measuring instruments.

• Judgement and decision making skills

• High degree of manual dexterity and very close visual attention for sustained periods. "
