Introduction:

GeoWireless currently has a need for an Network Engineer II to join our team in Charleston, SC. The Engineer provides (DHA) Defense Health Agency lifecycle support services to Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic, to include research, development, production, and fielding of scalable, secure, interoperable, sustainable, and survivable Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance Information Operations (IO), and Enterprise Information Services (EIS) capabilities. Support also includes the development of and information technology (IT) capabilities, the maintenance and upgrade of existing Network and IT capabilities, and the integration of existing hardware and software capabilities into a consolidated system baseline.

Responsibilities:

The SME will support GeoWireless efforts in the areas of LAN and WLAN networking. and provide support for end systems that deliver consist scalable and functional capabilities Responsibilities include:

Supporting the Project Manager with task coordination and planning, conducting installation kick-off meetings, delegating daily activities for the installation team, quality assurance, system programming and configuration, test and acceptance, inventory management, and developing redlines.

· Lead and/or support other team members in evaluating and selecting systems based on multiple sets of standards and requirements.

· Perform tasks including but not limited to:

o Network survey

o Network evaluation/design

o Network integration.

· Detail-oriented, well organized, self-starter able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and must be capable of performing multiple tasks.

· Strong communication skills and be able to interface with a variety of individuals.

· Team player and work well under pressure.

· Travel is required.

EXPERIENCE:

· Three (3) years of technical experience in support of DISA Defense Information Systems Agency. Note: experience may be concurrent.

  • Transport systems to include SONET/DWDM , WAN Technologies.

    · Five (5) years of experience in C4ISR development and integration programs to include:

    o Technology Analysis and Assessment

    o Design Definition

    o Development of Systems Specification

    o Systems Analysis

    o Systems Architecture

    o Systems/Equipment Integration

    o Test and Evaluation Criteria

    o Logistics Support of C4ISR Requirements

    Education:

    · Bachelor’s in related field preferred.

    · SSCP and/or Security+ Certification and Technical Training in LAN or Wireless LAN Communications required.

    · CCNA or other OEM vendor certification highly desired.
