Product Manager, SmartSolve eQMS

Location: Spain, fully remote

The Product Manager is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the software development lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining product scope, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, training, documentation, services, and support to ensure successful product deliveries and customer satisfaction. This role is customer facing. The Product Manager will evaluate customer, industry, competitor, and input from internal personnel to determine requirements for product enhancements, new products, and third-party product integration. They will establish the overall product feature list, document product requirements, and communicate product requirements to engineering. They will liaison with regulatory experts to ensure all regulatory requirements are planned and met. They will understand requirements of specific vertical markets (Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Blood Services), horizontal markets (high end, mid-market, low end users), and they will have knowledge of QMS modules. They will participate and assist with writing business plans and roadmap planning, and they should ensure that delivered products support the company’s overall strategy and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather Product Requirements from internal (services, support, and cloud teams) and external customers for the products assigned to the product manager

  • Research competitor offerings

  • Work with the Regulatory Specialist on the Product Management team to ensure requirements will be compliant to industry regulations

  • Translate User Requirements into features and functions that will have broad appeal in the market we serve; Life Sciences QMS

  • Based on final User Requirements create EPICS (Features) and User Stories that effectively guide Engineering and Development resources in the product build or product update of solutions and develop the requirements documentation required by the SDLC process

  • Ensure the product supports overall corporate goals & strategies

  • Work with the Director of Product Management and the business to determine product priorities for roadmap planning

  • Work with the Director of Product Management to build business cases, when appropriate for new products

  • Work with Engineering using Agile processes to execute project kickoffs, estimations, sprint plans, sprint demos and knowledge transfers to the business organization

  • Work with Marketing to provide content for data sheets and other collateral to aid the sales team.

  • Support Sales, Service and Support when appropriate

  • Participate in and support both the internal product advisory board and the customer product advisory board meetings

  • Participate in and support quarterly business reviews

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlooks, and Access

  • Proven experience in JIRA, Resilix, SPSS, Aetion, EndNote, Tableau, Qualtrics, REDCap, SAS and ExpressScribe

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree
