POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Patient Services Representative will perform administrative duties to support the clinical needs of the patient. The CPSR is responsible for making every effort to provide first call resolution for patients of Tidelands Health. This will be achieved by collaborating with the care team and ensuring timely response to all requests (within 24 business hours). This role will require strong communication skills and excellent customer service. The CPSR will maintain efficient and concise documentation of all patient interactions. This position may support clinical operations when needed.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

First call resolution – Handle incoming calls to clinic to provide patient first call resolution to meet the patients’ requests.

Escalate urgent patient needs – Notifies care team in an expeditious manner when necessary per established protocols.

Facilitate telehealth services, including language assistance - Coordinate appointments and language services with Telemedicine.

Assist with patient portal enrollment - As time permits, facilitates portal enrollment and assists with resetting passwords. Coordinates technical issues with IT support team when needed.

Medical Records Management – Facilitates medical records request by coordinating with medical records department while ensuring HIPPA compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Must meet one of the following:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or current medical assistant with minimum of two years recent experience AND will achieve certification within 6 months of hire OR;

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and a minimum of two years healthcare experience

Experience:

Demonstrated experience with strong interpersonal communication skills, required.

Prior experience with interpreting and following detailed policies and workflows, required.

Competency with Microsoft Office applications required.

Prior experience with Electronic Medical Record in physician office environment, required.

Prior experience scheduling patients, preferred.

Minimum of two (2) years in a physician office setting, preferred.

Skills:

Excellent customer service skills, required.

Medical Terminology knowledge required.

Ability to follow established guidelines and workflows

Problem solving skills and ability to prioritize needs

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and tasks efficiently (time management), required.

Ability to work independently and with a team

Computer proficiency

Excellent communication skills

Other:

Day shift M-F position

Exposure to diseases possible but not probable due to controlled environment and limited exposure to patients
