Sinclair Broadcast Group Anchor/Reporter in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

WPDE ABC 15 is looking for a News Anchor / MMJ to join our team. In this role, you will be required to produce daily content on a variety of platforms including our website and social media networks, along with performing other duties as assigned by the news managers. We are looking for someone with a clear understanding of how to find compelling stories that matter to our community, the ability to research stories in order to dig deeper, the desire to ask tough questions, and the skills to produce a well shot, well edited story. We need someone with a strong writing and storytelling background who can deliver stories with authority and passion. The ideal candidate will also have a commanding, engaging presence on the anchor desk and be a newsroom leader.

Skills and Experience:

  • Someone with initiative who can generate his or her own story ideas on a daily basis

  • Ability to demonstrate enterprise reporting and creativity in storytelling

  • Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to maintain an active social media presence to build your brand and solicit original story ideas

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Previous anchoring experience is required

  • Must have at least 1 year of on-air experience

  • Live shot experience
